"Absolutely loved this book! The action never stopped. Their Cajun Queen was fast paced but in a great way. There was lots of emotion in this story. I recommend reading alone because you will be expressing yourself throughout this story."

Cade watched in amusement as Fiona crossed her arms over her chest and mean mugged Brian. Did she even know how tiny she looked in that bed? She was about as threatening as spitting kitten to the big bad wolf.
“I am out of here tomorrow whether you agree to it or not, Doctor. I would get more rest at home than here and you know it. I’ve been fever free since yesterday and I have enough antibiotic running through me to kill small pox.” Fiona pointed her finger at Brian when he opened his mouth. “Shut it. You know what I mean. Emma Grace’s birthday is Saturday. She is having a party come hell or high water and I will be there. I’d get started on those forms if I were you.”
“You were in a serious accident, Fiona. You sustained a lot of trauma both before and after. If you aren’t careful, you could end up back here. It’s just a couple of more days.”
Fiona made a disgusted sound. “I’m a nurse, in case you have forgotten, doc. I know all the risks. I’ll take it easy.”
“Think about your little girl.”
Oh shit. Cade rolled his eyes. What was the man thinking saying something like that?
“Don’t you ever accuse me of not thinking about Emma Grace.” Fiona’s low, deadly tone widened Brian’s eyes. “She is my number one priority.”
Oh, man she was building up a head of steam now. Cade considered stepping in, but Fiona was alpha fem. She was their mate and his pack would look to her as their queen, but respect was earned. She wouldn’t gain it if Cade fought her battles for her.
“My little girl is the most important person in the world to me. She needs to get back into a routine. She needs normal. I would die for her and I have killed for her. Being stuck here is a glaring reminder of what happened to us. I will not have her birthday tainted by awful memories. She will have only happy fun time awesome birthday memories. Got it?”
“I’m sorry Fiona.” Brian looking contrite tilted his head. “I didn’t mean to imply that you didn’t care about Emma Grace. I know you do. It would really upset her if you got sick, again.” Brian sighed and sat on the edge of her bed. “Look, I know all this is new to you. I know you may not be ready, especially after what happened to you, but if you just would agree to the mating and allow Declan and Cade to claim you, there would be nothing to worry about. A couple of claiming bites and you would be healed by Saturday.”
“Excuse me?” Fiona said.
“Uh, Brian?” Cade said at the same time.
Fiona’s narrowed eyed glare jumped from him to Brian then back again.
Brian cleared his throat. He stood and backed away towards the door.
“We hadn’t actually gotten that far yet, Bri.” He smiled innocently at Fiona and she glared harder.
“Declan, get in here!”
“Cade―” Whatever Fiona was about to say was interrupted by the door slamming into the wall as Declan rushed through it. His older brother stood in the middle of the room breathing heavily, sporting claws and fangs, looking ready to rip out someone’s throat. Had the situation not been so serious Cade would have laughed at the shocked, open-mouthed expression on Fiona’s face. Brian used the opportunity to slip out of the room. Coward.
“What’s wrong? What’s happened?” Declan snarled. His voice was distorted and animalistic.
“Nothing has happened, per se,” Cade hedged.
Declan turned on him and growled, but Cade’s focus wasn’t on Declan. It was on Fiona. She hadn’t spoken, moved, or even blinked. She just stared at Declan. He couldn’t blame her, not with Declan doing his half man/half wolf impersonation.
“What do you mean, nothing has happened, per se?” Declan snarled. “You yelled at me to get in here as if something had happened. You sounded panicked.”
“Dec.” Cade nodded towards Fiona.
Declan looked at her then back at him. “She looks fine. I don’t understand.”
Cade waved his hands at Declan. “You might want to get that under control.”
Declan frowned. “Huh?”
He rolled his eyes and pointed at his brother’s claws. “That and the rest of the shit that goes with it.”
Declan looked down. “Oh.”
“Yes, oh,” he mocked.
Declan cleared his throat, closed his eyes, and took a long calming breath. He didn’t open his eyes again until he had his wolf under control and all traces were gone. Declan moved slowly to the right side of the bed, Fiona’s shocked gaze followed him.
“Fiona?” Declan tucked two fingers under her chin and closed her mouth then gave her a slight smile. “Are you okay, love?”
“You’re a werewolf.”
“Shifter. Declan frowned then looked back at him.
Cade shrugged. He didn’t have a clue what was going on or why she was acting so confused. The shocked part he got.
Declan continued speaking to her in a soothing voice. “Love, you knew that we are shifters. You’ve seen Kell’s wolf. Please don’t be afraid, Fiona. We would never hurt you.”
Fiona blinked. Her eyes darted from Declan to Cade then back again. “I’m not afraid. I didn’t see him change into a wolf. He did that in the bathroom. That was some shocking and freaky shit. Seriously, that was like something out of the movies. Move over sexy werewolves of Louisiana.” She muttered.
“Shifters.” Cade corrected indignantly.
“Whatever.” She waved flipped him off.
Cade snickered. He saw the second Fiona remembered what had caused all this excitement in the first place and groaned.
She sent them an accusatory glare complete with cocked eyebrow. “Forget to tell me something boys?”
“What did we forget?” Declan asked glancing between him and Fiona.
